Chosen singles ministry
CHO•SEN \'choz-?n\ adj.: selected or marked for special favor or privilege (The Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. - John 15:16 KJV
Chosen is a fun, interactive, thought-provoking class of college and work age students at Solid Rock Ministries. We are a mature somewhat laid-back class that is serious about learning about Jesus. You won’t find a better group of godly, wonderful, beautiful and talented young adults anywhere – and hey, we’re single, too! We meet on Tuesday nights after the praise and worship service in the Sanctuary. We also get together periodically outside of class for special events and times of fellowship and fun.
The Chosen class covers a wide range of topics, in which subjects are often taken from interests and questions a particular student might have and of course what God’s laid on the heart of our teacher to teach. We take all the time we need to get through every bible study, exploring each avenue and tangent, discussing and answering any questions one might have. Recently, we did an in-depth study on the book of Romans. We learned about God’s law and how it differed between Old and New Testament times and how it relates to us, still, today. And more, we learned how to study God’s Word, to better understand what God has to teach us. God’s Word is not just a bunch of pretty words and remarkable stories, it’s a miraculous lesson plan that meets each of us where we are – all at the same time!
Chosen is taught by Melissa Woolery, a gifted young woman, devoted to her ministry(ies). She’s our fearless leader whom we love very much. [We want to thank you, Melissa, for always being sensitive to God’s direction.] We’ve learned and continue to learn a lot from her.
We invite you to come be a part of Chosen. Be yourself, be comfortable, and most of all be blessed in learning the Word of God. We hope to see you soon!
God Bless You,
